I’ve been totally crushing on chandeliers lately. Maybe it’s because I’m working in an antique gallery now, which is filled with gorgeous vintage and antique chandeliers. I was never much for them when I was younger, but now I’ve seen the light (ha!). Sure, there are chandeliers out there that are nothing special. But once you find a beautiful one, it’s hard to look away. I searched for them on Etsy, and found quite a variety to share with you!

I’ve also been really into cutouts lately, which helped me find this one by seequin:

I share a birthday with one of my heroes, Albert Einstein. He was born 107 years before me to the day (132 years ago yesterday). He created profound theories on gravity, cosmology, and light, and of course he is the creator of the theory of relativity, which includes the famous e=mc². He spoke out against racism, believed in humility, and encouraged imagination. Today I dedicate my Etsy Crush post to Einstein and his creative genius.

It’s been drizzly here in Austin, Texas, and that has me thinking about umbrellas! Normally I actually don’t use an umbrella myself – I like to feel the rain But I do like umbrellas in and of themselves. They have such an instantly recognizable shape! They’re completely practical, yet somehow whimsical at the same time. So I went on a search through Etsy to see what kinds of people are making with this rainy day icon.
I found a fun greeting card by Earmark:
A hand carved rubber stamp by eat pray create:

Inspired by my new lipstick, a gift from my mom-in-law, today’s Etsy Crush is all about WONDER WOMAN! That’s right, MAC just came out with a new line of Wonder Woman makeup, which, in my opinion, is sheer genius. She’s a super hero and a feminist icon – who wouldn’t wear makeup ‘sponsored’ by her? 😉
Etsy is full of fun Wonder Woman items, from vintage to handmade to a little of both. Here are some of the fun products I found!
A vintage wallpaper tissue box cover (Fondue) – it has Batman on it, too! ♥

Happy Tuesday! Go, fight, win!
Stools are super handy. They’re small, convenient seats or foot rests that can be re-purposed as side tables when not in use. The hubs and I have been looking into stools as a possible solution to our nightstand problem, as well as extra seating since we love to entertain! Another thing I love about stools? They come in so many different styles! Here are a few I’ve found while perusing the every-style-welcome Etsy:
First is this handmade, cubicle stool made from upcycled coffee bean bags (VelvetBean):
Next is this set of groovy, vintage, tufted velvet stools (Fabulous Mess):

Wouldn’t it be fun if hats were back in style? I love watching old movies in which a gentleman or lady just didn’t go out without a hat perched jauntily on his/her head! I mean, you can see someone wearing a hat anywhere you go, but they currently aren’t a fashion necessity. They are, however, a great way to jazz up any outfit, keep the sun out of your eyes, and/or keep your head warm! So now, for your viewing pleasure, a selection of fine hats from Etsy!

The good thing about one hat style being in fashion is that you can wear a different one for every occasion! 😀
For this week’s Etsy Crush theme, I’ve chosen the gorgeous peacock. There are so many design elements to play off of here – feathers, curves (paisley always makes me think of peacocks!), a lovely color palette, and even the wonderful layering of a peacock’s tail.
Add peacock feathers to a blue shoe to make a fabulous statement! (La Plume Éthéré)
These beautiful earrings (noémiah) are as blue and as elegant as a peacock feather
This hand drawn plate (jimbob art) focuses on the beauty of the peacock’s shape:
This necklace (3dots) abstracts the form of the tail to make a unique piece
A single feather transforms this note card (Blackberry graphics) into a piece of art
This copper necklace (TooFashion2010) captures the peacock’s elegance
Detail, texture, and high class are rolled into one in this embroidered clutch (Fiaz Co)
These bobby pins (CameraSHY Photography) have the shape and color of peacock feathers
And this counting peacock print (sugarfresh) is just adorable!
Who would have thought that so many distinctly beautiful and unique pieces could all stem from one bird? Ah, the magnificent peacock
